How Do We Make My Painting?
My goal as an Interactive Artist is to provide you with the Piece you need to bring Harmony into your Space. We work together to bring your Vision into Reality in Two Stages: Design and Color.
I ask questions, and your answers provide me with the material I need for your own Unique Power Painting.

Stage One is a conversation about the basics: Size, Shape, Stamp and Inspiration.
The Client speaks about the theme, can offer Swatches, Pictures, Shapes or Ideas. The Geometries that create Harmony are drawn onto a blank Template, then the final template appears in black. The Stamp is applied, then the Template is traced onto the Silk Canvas with clear, gold or silver resin
The canvas is ready for Color, applied in Stage Two.

-
Above Left is a picture of the Emergence of the Piece. First Sacred Geometries are laid onto the blank template.
-
Next, the Piece emerges from the lines, much like a stained glass window would look, in some cases. This piece, as many can work both horizontally and vertically because of its Symmetry.
-
Above Right is a picture of the Client's Inspirational figure - a Glyph/Symbol from a handwoven Tibetan blanket they love.
-
Watch to see how the Glyph develops into the framework for the Geometric theme in the painting.

- Above Left is a picture of the Stamp process.
-
After the frame is painted and the silk is attached, the stamp is carved. This Border can contain any color, and any Shape. It provides a unique Artesanal touch, guiding the Eye around the perimeter of the Piece.
-
Above Right is a picture of the Template completed, underneath the Silk.
-
The resin that is used is called gutta, and provides a Resist for the Silk Dye, much like the metal pieces in a stained Glass Window.
-
Since the Silk is Stained, not Painted, it allows Light to pass through, and bounce around like in Nature.
-
Clients often prefer to use special lighting to Accent this Unique aspect of Silks and finish with a custom box frame.

|
In Stage Two of the process, the Actual Silk with all its Color emerges. This process is also Fluid, in that the Client (or Designer) can influence the Coloration to suit their personal preference and taste, to a certain degree.
If the Client wishes to be present during the Process, they may actually dictate the exact Color Scheme, or have the Piece finished in the Space of choice to assure Harmony.

- Above Left is a picture of the Piece with all its resin in place.
- It is easy to see how the Light bounces off and Interacts with the silk.
- In this case two different Themes Play through the use of two colors of resin - Gold an Clear.
- Above Right is a picture of the Piece complete, horizontally oriented.
- Below see the effect of the Vertical orientation.
- On request a piece can always be made to change orientation while retaining Harmony.
- Below see more examples of recent Custom Light Pieces.
